Shiefton Youth & Community Enterprise is a voluntary organisation and a registered charity (Charity Number: 1051447).
Based at the New Basford Community Centre in Basford, Zulu Road, Nottingham, NG7 7DS area of Nottingham, many of our clientele are from the surrounding areas of:

Shiefton Youth Group (SYG) was formed in June 1983.
SYG works with young people helping them to develop their potential, personal strengths, and life skills, plus enabling them to become active and responsible members of society.
Shiefton Supplementary School (SSS) is an extension of the youth group. Established in 1994, it seeks to address the concern of parents who do not wish their child/children to underachieve in mainstream schools.

PRE GCSE and GCSE revision (English & Maths)
Although our clientele is predominantly of African/Caribbean descent and Dual Heritage, we embrace nationalities from local diverse communities.
An active parents’ group meets regularly to discuss matters relating to the curriculum and the running of the school.
Shiefton has an elected Management Committee that meets once a month and holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Management Committee is made up of nominated volunteers from the local community.
SHIEFTON SUPPLEMENTARY SCHOOL
Saturdays during term time, 9.55am-12.15pm.
Classes for 6-14 yrs old: English, Maths, & African Studies.
Pre- GCSE Supporting young people’s preparation for GCSE exams.
GCSE (Maths & English): Supporting improved academic results for 14yrs-16yrs.
Parents’ Group: Holds meetings, supports activities and information sharing. A representative of the Parents’ Group sits on the Management Committee
SHIEFTON YOUTH GROUP
The Karate team (Young People & Adults) trains on Mondays & Fridays, 7 pm.
